Eramet Indonesia together with Kitong Bisa Foundation (KBF) officially closed the implementation of the first batch of Eramet Beyond Scholarship Program which has been underway since November 2024. Penutupan program ditandai melalui seremoni bertajuk Eramet Beyond: From Journey to Impact yang digelar di Jakarta pada 29–30 Juni 2026.

This Program is a form of Eramet Indonesia’s commitment in expanding access to quality education for young people in eastern Indonesia while equipping them with leadership abilities, future skills, and passion to make a real contribution to regional development.

A total of 41 students from Papua, Maluku, and Sulawesi graduated from the program. They were selected from more than 500 applicants who participated in the national selection process.

CEO of Eramet Indonesia, Jérôme Baudelet, said investment in education is a long-term investment that will provide sustainable benefits for the community.

“Through the Eramet Beyond scholarship Program, we want to open up more opportunities for talented young people to develop their potential, strengthen leadership capacity, and create a positive impact in their home region. We hope that their journey through this program will be the beginning of a greater contribution to the progress of the region and Indonesia,” said Jérôme in the closing ceremony of the program in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/6).

During the program, the scholarship recipients received 46 training sessions covering English language development, project management, leadership, financial literacy, and digital literacy. The entire learning process is designed through four stages, namely Learn, Lead, Serve, and Give Back, to form participants into young leaders who are able to provide benefits to the community.

The Program also recorded a number of positive outcomes. More than 70 percent of participants experienced an increase in academic and non-academic abilities. A total of 70 percent of participants managed to improve their English language skills at least one level, while 73.2 percent experienced an increase in competency in project management.

In addition, 73 percent of participants had a better understanding of the importance of emergency funds after attending financial literacy training. From the academic side, the average cumulative GPA (GPA) of participants increased from 3.50 to 3.63 or an increase of around 3.75 percent. A total of 19 students or about 45 percent of participants also actively contribute to organizations, communities, and social activities throughout 2026.

The impact of the program was also felt by one of the scholarship recipients, Zaldi. He said he previously had to work part-time to pay for his college. After obtaining the Eramet Beyond scholarship, he was able to focus more on completing his education, even getting full funding for final project research in collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

“I am very grateful to Eramet and KBF. Thanks to the support of the Eramet Beyond scholarship Program, I was able to focus more on my studies without worrying about costs. This experience also opened up more opportunities for me to develop,” says Zaldi.

Meanwhile, CEO of Kitong Bisa Foundation, Mohammad Afif, said the success of the program is not only measured by the academic achievement of the scholarship recipients, but also by the impact they are able to create for the community.

“Through Eramet Beyond, we not only support students to complete their education, but also equip them with leadership character, spirit of devotion, and the ability to create real impact. We believe these awardees will be part of a generation that brings positive change to East Indonesia and Indonesia as a whole,” he said.

Through the success of the inaugural batch of Eramet Beyond Scholarship Program, Eramet Indonesia and Kitong Bisa Foundation affirm their commitment to continue to support the birth of the young generation of East Indonesia who are competitive, have character, and are able to become agents of change in community development in the future.
